Please visit the Chase Assist app on your terminal’s home screen for additional 24/7 self-service support with everything from setting up your Wi-Fi to accepting a payment.
Terminal activation
To power on:
- Press and hold the Power button for about 3 seconds until the Ingenico screen appears.
To power off:
- Press and hold the Power button for more than 3 seconds until the display shows a Power menu, then select Power off.
- To restart the device, select Restart.
To enter Screen saver mode:
- Press and hold the Power button for 0.5 seconds until the display turns off. Your device will remain on, but asleep.
- Press and hold the Power button for 0.5 seconds to wake the device and turn display back on.

All devices come with a battery that requires charge with the included USB-C to USB power cord. Battery percentage will display on-screen. If the battery drops to empty, the terminal will automatically shut off.
- Open your device’s Settings app from the home screen.
- In the Input password pop-up, input 350000 and select OK.
- Select Network & internet.
- Select Wi-Fi to connect to an available network.
- Select your Network from the displayed list.
Note: Once a network is connected and saved, your device will automatically connect to this network every time.
Tip settings
Yes, you can disable or set up tips at time of sale on screen.
Adding tips on receipt is not supported at this time.
- From the hamburger menu (3 white horizontal lines on top left of app), select Settings.
- Select Transaction and scroll to the Tip Prompting section.
- Select the Tip amount prompting item and select Process and prompt.
- Select Confirm.

Visit the Chase Assist app on your device for help with everything from getting connected to Wi-Fi to understanding an error code.
- From the hamburger menu, scroll to the bottom and select Exit.
- On your device’s home screen, tap the Chase Assist app icon.
- Browse for your desired topic.
Try the following steps:
- Verify your power and cable connection.
- Check DX8000 is properly seated on the base.
- Try connecting charging cable into directly into device.

No, however you will be unable to process a refund or void on a transaction without a Manager or Clerk/Server ID username and password. It is highly recommended to create credentials before using your terminal.
