Frequently Asked Questions about Loan Payoff

FAQs

Loan Payoff

To get your auto loan payoff quote online:

  1. Go to your auto account and choose “More…” Then, from the drop-down menu, choose “See a payoff quote” to see your payoff quote and verify your address.
  2. Make sure to update your address, if needed, before completing your payoff because we will mail your title or lien release to the mailing address that appears on your auto billing statements. If the title is held electronically (paperless), your state’s Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) will be sending the lien free title, so you’ll need to confirm your address with them.
  3. You’ll then see options for paying off your loan.
  4. Be sure to cancel any automatic payments when you pay off your loan.

To pay off your auto loan, you’ll need to get a payoff quote (the amount of money needed to completely pay off the loan.)

Keep in mind: Be sure to verify your address and update it before completing your payoff, because we mail your title or lien release to the address that appears on your auto account statements. If the title is held electronically (paperless), your state’s Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) will be sending the lien free title, so you’ll need to confirm your address with them. Also, remember to cancel any recurring payments after you pay off your loan.

You can pay off your loan whenever you’re ready and there’s no pre-payment penalty for doing so. We don’t charge pre-payment fees, even if your contract lists a fee.

Before completing your payoff, be sure to verify your address and update it with us and/or the DMV, if necessary.

Keep in mind: Florida doesn’t generate a lien-free title when the electronic lien is released. You should contact the state’s DMV to request a lien-free title.
